Golf Ball OEM Manufacturer for Private Label Urethane Programs

MetaSeal Golf is a factory-source OEM and ODM partner for private-label 3-piece and 4-piece urethane golf balls. We hold an equity stake in a golf ball production factory and coordinate the full OEM program: model selection, logo and packaging customization, sample review, production follow-up, quality checkpoints, and international project communication.

Our OEM programs serve golf brands, retailers, distributors, pro shops, golf courses, academies, and qualified new-brand projects. The process is designed to help buyers move from a product brief to a finished, retail-ready golf ball with a traceable approval record.

What OEM and ODM Mean for Golf Ball Buyers

OEM (original equipment manufacturer) in golf ball sourcing means the buyer provides a brand, logo, and packaging specification, and the factory produces the ball to that specification. ODM (original design manufacturer) means the buyer selects from an existing construction and adapts it with their branding. Both routes are available through MetaSeal Golf depending on the project scope and construction requirements.

The practical difference for most private-label buyers is whether they are starting from a standard construction or requesting a modified specification. Most first-order programs begin with an OEM route using an existing 3-piece or 4-piece urethane construction with custom logo, ball numbers, and retail packaging. A modified construction requires additional development review before sampling.

3-Piece Urethane OEM Program

The 3-piece urethane program is the recommended main OEM model for most private-label projects. The construction uses a soft polyurethane cover, synthetic rubber core, and 330-dimple design. This model has been robot-tested at the production facility under disclosed conditions: GCQuad launch monitor, approximately 115.3 mph club speed, five shots per ball, driver only, single session in June 2026. The test data covers carry distance, ball speed, spin rate, and launch angle. Iron and wedge data are not available from this session. See 3-Piece Urethane Program and Robot Test Data.

4-Piece Urethane OEM Program

The 4-piece urethane program is positioned as a flagship upgrade for buyers building a more differentiated product line. The construction uses a dual-core design, high-rebound resin mid layer, and soft polyurethane cover. Physical sample evaluation is recommended before final retail positioning. The robot-test data published for the 3-piece model must not be applied to the 4-piece construction. See 4-Piece Urethane Program.

Private Label Customization Options

Customization options available for review include logo printing on the ball surface; ball number and alignment line options; ball color where available for the selected model; sleeve and dozen-box retail packaging with custom artwork; gift box and multi-ball presentation formats; and outer-carton marking for import and distribution. Final availability of any customization option depends on the selected model, artwork review, quantity, and production confirmation. No customization option is guaranteed without a completed project review.

The Sample-First OEM Process

MetaSeal Golf supports a sample-first development process. Buyers can evaluate a physical sample before committing to bulk production. The sample allows verification of ball construction, logo print quality, packaging execution, and overall presentation. Sample availability, quantity, fees, shipping, and timing are confirmed after the project details are reviewed. Bulk production is planned after the relevant sample and artwork approvals are documented and agreed.

The sample-first process protects buyers from committing to bulk production before confirming that the product meets the intended specification. It also creates a documented reference for quality control during production and reorder batches. See Sample Order Process and Sample Process FAQ.

Quality Checkpoints in OEM Production

Quality checkpoints applicable to a golf ball OEM order may include construction confirmation against the approved sample; weight, diameter, and roundness checks; compression or hardness measurement; logo print inspection against the approved artwork proof; packaging inspection against the approved packaging sample; and pre-shipment batch sampling. The specific checks applied depend on the model, order quantity, and agreed inspection scope. A quality checkpoint is not the same as a third-party certification or a guarantee of identical performance across all production batches.

MOQ and Project Planning

Custom golf ball MOQ can start from 2,000 pieces, subject to model, logo, packaging, variations, and order plan. The 2,000-piece starting point is a project-review threshold, not an unconditional promise for every configuration. Mixed models, multiple logos, or multiple packaging formats may require separate MOQ review for each variation. See MOQ FAQ and Mixed-Model MOQ FAQ.

OEM Evidence and Verification

MetaSeal Golf provides several forms of OEM evidence for buyer review: robot test data from a client-observed GCQuad session at the production facility; finished packaging case studies showing real logo, ball, and packaging execution; factory and process documentation; and factory verification materials. Evidence is specific to the named product, session, and conditions. It should not be used to make claims beyond the stated scope. See OEM Proof and Evidence | Packaging Case Studies | Factory Verification.

How to Start an OEM Project

To start a golf ball OEM project with MetaSeal Golf, prepare the following: your business type and sales channel; the intended construction or a request for model guidance; estimated first-order quantity; logo and artwork status; ball number, alignment line, and color requirements; retail packaging requirements; target market and customer; and destination and planned purchasing window. Submit this information through the project review form and the team will identify the next step. See How the OEM Brief Process Works and RFQ Checklist for B2B Buyers.
