The 4-piece urethane ball uses a multilayer construction designed to provide a more differentiated response across club types compared to a 3-piece ball. The dual-core design (inner core + outer core) is intended to provide a different energy transfer profile at different swing speeds. The high-rebound resin mid layer adds a fourth layer of construction complexity. The soft polyurethane cover provides feel and greenside spin control.
Physical sample evaluation is recommended before final retail positioning for the 4-piece model. The robot test data available on our Robot Test Data page applies to our 3-piece urethane model only. Dedicated test evidence for the 4-piece model should be reviewed when available. We recommend ordering samples of both the 3-piece and 4-piece models to compare feel and performance before making a final model selection.

It is appropriate for brands targeting performance-oriented golfers who want a premium private-label ball. For most private-label programs, we recommend starting with the 3-piece model and adding the 4-piece as a premium SKU after the initial launch.

The 4-piece urethane ball uses a cast thermoset polyurethane (CPU) cover — the same material category as the 3-piece model. CPU is formed by pouring liquid polyurethane into a mold and curing it through a chemical reaction, not by injection-molding pellets under heat (TPU). The CPU process requires a dedicated casting line with precise temperature and catalyst control. Using a CPU cover confirms the manufacturing process and material category; performance characteristics of this specific SKU are established by SKU-specific test data.
