The custom golf ball sample process at MetaSeal Golf follows five steps: (1) submit requirements and artwork, (2) receive a sample quote, (3) pay the sample fee, (4) receive physical samples after lead time is confirmed per project scope, (5) approve or request revisions. Bulk production starts only after written sample approval.
What to submit for a sample request: Ball construction (2-piece, 3-piece, or 4-piece), cover material (Surlyn or urethane), logo artwork file (vector preferred: AI, EPS, SVG), ball number preference (1–4 or custom), alignment line preference (yes/no, style), and packaging type (sleeve, dozen box, or bare ball). The more complete your submission, the faster we can prepare the sample quote.
Sample lead time: Physical sample lead time is confirmed after the model, customization scope, and destination are reviewed. Complex artwork or packaging customization may extend this timeline. Complex artwork or packaging customization may extend this timeline. We send photo confirmation at each production stage and ship via express courier with tracking.
Sample approval process: When you receive the physical sample, evaluate it against your requirements: logo placement and print quality, ball feel and compression, packaging structure and print accuracy. If the sample meets your requirements, provide written approval. If revisions are needed, specify the changes and we will produce a revised sample. Bulk production starts only after written approval.
Sample fees: Sample fees vary by construction and customization complexity. Contact us for current pricing. Sample fee credit terms are confirmed in writing during the project review stage. PayPal buyer protection is available for sample orders.
Why sample first? Sampling before bulk production is the most effective way to avoid costly mistakes. A physical sample lets you verify quality, branding, and packaging before committing to a full production run of 2,000+ pieces.
